Media Literature major

Introduction

Media Literature, a fairly new area of study, was born to fullfill the needs of the modern society. Therefore, it is wide open to other academic opportunities.
Media Literature literally means a literature that deals with media. It's doubtlessly true that Korean Language and Literature has been a core academic study in Korea.
However, the society now shifts its literary focus from Print Media to Multimedia, which further drives the literature to embrace Visual Media, Documentaries and Game Scenarios.
It is expected in the world of literature, that Media Literature would continue to evolve and bring forth a number of changes for the conventional types of literature.
The globe, combined into a global family between internet and mass media, sends us a message that we need to train professionals who can integrate traditional and media literature to further contribute to the development in the industry.

Educational Objective

The shift from the conventional literature to media literature poses several issues on how to correlate and communicate with other academic areas. Media Literature, realizing these issues, offers a practical education running the gamut through all types of literature and seeks to develop a number of cultural contents based on Korean Language and Literature and its applications in media literature.
