Introduction

Transportation Engineering, a relatively new study, deals with the means of transportation needed to transport people and goods in a safe, fast, convenient and economical way. It also focuses on the study of related transportation infrastructure including its scheme, functional design, operation and management in a scientific and technical way. With our main goal of training highly skilled technicians, through identifying the current problems related to the city traffic and further suggesting practical solutions to the traffic problems, we try to be a leader in providing assistance and solutions for traffic problems that this area faces. The department offers various courses related to the establishment of a safe and efficient transportation system as it aims to train skilled professionals through offering further education on its related areas such as Civil Engineering, Environment, City Planning, Economics, and Tourism.

Educational Objective

The department places its emphasis on offering education on the in-depth and specialized theories related to Transportation and further promotes research skills that will allow the students to come up with practical solutions and suggestions. In short, the department aims to train professionals in Transportation Engineering, enhance their ability to solve traffic problems, and promote research skills based on its latest theories.
