Introduction

The department studies a variety of areas related to creating beautiful, efficient and comfortable interior space, often regarded as the origin of human life. The theoretical portion of interior design include the ergonomic aspect required for interior space, researches on the history of design and the sensitivity in colors, as well as the psychological effects of lighting on furniture. Based on these theoretical foundations, the department aims to cultivate interior design specialists, able to balance theory and practice through their on-the-spot training experiences.

Educational Objective

Focused on interior space and its environment, the Department of Interior Design offers its ultimate goal; teaching students how to create an ideal space and environment, in order to meet the fundamental demands in human life. With a solid understanding of human nature and its functional characteristics, the department places its emphasis on cultivating professionals such as interior or environmental designers who possess an artistry, functionality and technique.

Educational Goals

  1. To cultivate competent, open-minded and future-oriented designers
  2. To cultivate design professionals by providing an industry-academy-research program joined with the department's efforts in fundamental education on design itself.
  3. To cultivate global interior designers and environmental designers by promoting creativity in interior design as well as assisting them in forming the required characteristics of a designer.
