Introduction

The Department of Public Administration studies theories and solutions for various social issues related to Personnel Management, Organization, Budget and Policy-Making, which are the core elements in dealing with public administrative affairs of government agencies. The course, aiming to cultivate students' ability to apply Administration theory to practice, analyzes specific cases found in Public Administration and further seeks applicative solutions and theoretical interpretations. It also aims to cultivate students' ability to carry out independent researches through encouraging them to participate in joint seminars and academic conferences.

The course aims to enhance research in the field of Public Administration and to cultivate further understanding and skills required to solve a variety of administrative issues.

Educational Goals

    The Department of Public Administration, with its ultimate goal to train today's most desirable administrators, gives humanity 'top priority'. The traits required to be a global administrator include skills in strategic planning & management, information processing, rational problem-solving, and international affairs.
  1. To promote theoretical understanding through various discussions and researches in Public Administration.
  2. To cultivate students' ability to apply Administration theory to practice, analyze specific cases found in Public Administration and further seek applicative solutions and theoretical interpretations.
  3. To cultivate students' ability to carry out independent researches through encouraging them to participate in joint seminars and academic conferences.
  4. To promote 'industry-academy-research' collaborative projects and researches and encourage the local industries to participate in our graduate programs.
