Introduction

The department consists of the following academic areas; Structural Engineering, Hydraulics, Soil Engineering, Foundation Engineering, Concrete Engineering, Survey Engineering, Sanitary Engineering. In its academic focus on promoting students' in-class participation and their performance, the department offers a wide variety of class formats including seminars, independent research activities, multimedia education, not to mention experimental practices. With its state-of-the-art experimental lab facilities and equipment, students are able to cultivate professional knowledge and research ability through various experimental projects. Moreover, the department provides students with various academic opportunities to attend international conferences and seminars in order to stay up-to-date with latest studies.

Educational Objective

Civil Engineering is a science and study that will contribute to the development in social welfare and help create a better living environment for all. To achieve these goals, the society needs professional civil engineers who can efficiently deal with various issues related to Civil Engineering. Thus, the department aims to train competent and experienced civil engineers who show leadership in creative planning, designing, and executing civil engineering projects.

Educational Goals

  • To train professional civil engineers who are able to apply theory into practice through industry-academy-research collaboration.
  • To train professional civil engineers who are able to carry out independent research activities and to get their research papers published and presented in seminars and academic associations.
  • To train professional civil engineers, capable of leading the Information Age by providing them with a practical education through a well-balanced combination of theory and practice
