Department of English Education
Introduction
The Department of English Education aims to train teachers who will be prepared to meet the demands of the current society, based not only on their knowledge of the English language, its literature, and English Language teaching methods but also with the ability to convey this knowledge effectively.
Educational Objective
In order to achieve these three objectives; developing theoretical knowledge, practical teaching and communication skills, with the development of students as educators, the curriculum of the English Education Department combines theory with seminars and school-based training. Courses are offered in areas such as English communication, linguistics, literature and teaching methodology. Additionally, students attend job-related and skill-based courses, aimed at improving presentation and discussion abilities. Based on this educational method, students will gain the capacity to apply traditional teaching methodologies effectively, while actively accepting and utilizing new teaching methodologies.
