가톨릭관동대학교 한국어교육원은 유학 및 취업 등의 이유로 한국어를 배우고자 하는 고등학교 졸업 이상의 학력을 지닌 외국인 및 재외동포 재학생을 대상으로 한국어와 한국 문화를 체계적으로 교육하는 데 그 목적이 있습니다.

우리 한국어교육원의 교육과정은 학습자를 중심으로 한 전문적이며 실용적인 교육을 제공하고, 한국어 표준 교육과정과 한국어능력시험의 등급 체계를 고려하여 초급부터 고급까지의 6등급 체계로 진행합니다. 또한 본 한국어교육원에서는 일상생활에 필요한 기초적인 언어 기능을 비롯한 한국어교육뿐 아니라 한국의 사회, 문화적인 내용 이해를 돕기 위해 다양한 문화 체험 프로그램을 제공합니다.
The systematic curriculum of the KLEC provides professional and practical education centered on learners. Considering the standard Korean language curriculum and the grading system of the Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK), there are six-level of courses, from beginner to advanced. In addition to the Korean language education functions necessary for everyday life, the KLEC provides various cultural experience programs to help the student understanding Korean social and cultural contents.
본 과정에 등록하여 과정 편성 평가를 거친 후 학습자 수준에 맞는 단계에서 학습을 시작하며, 한국어 듣기, 말하기, 쓰기 및 읽기 등 통합 교육과정을 집중적으로 교육하여 2년의 교육 기간 내에 한국어능력시험을 거쳐 대학이나 대학원에 입학하여 수학할 수 있는 능력배양을 교육목표로 하고 있습니다.
After evaluating a competency assessment test of the each student, the student study at the level appropriate to the learner's level. Intensive education in the integrated curriculum of listening, speaking, writing, and reading in Korean language will be provided so that students can pass the Korean Language Proficiency Test within a two-year education period.
The KLEC’s educational goal is to cultivate the ability to enter a university or graduate school through the TOPIK within the two-year period.
