Electronic Engineering major
Introduction
As a core element in Civilization of Modern Technology, Electronic Engineering is a science that develops advanced technologies based on basic science and consists of the following areas: Computer Application, Information Processing, Communication, System Control, Semiconductor, and Materials & Components. Computer is the science that designs and develops supercomputers as well as personal computers. It places an emphasis on Information as one of the economic goods and studies how to process, deliver and manage the Information. In addition, it studies electronic mail, news, and e-conference; including multimedia information processing, which enables a range of forms in Information to be transmitted through an information processing device.
Educational Objective
With its aim to train highly skilled technicians, professional educators and researchers, the department offers a variety of educational programs covering all the elements in Electronic Media Engineering; Semiconductors, Communication, Computer, Control, Data Processing, Signal Processing, and Multimedia. Our curriculum encourages students to take courses of basic principles in Electronic Media Engineering during their initial years, followed by the required major courses during their later years. Specifically, the department uses highly advanced devices when conducting a variety of experiments, which assists in bringing in factory automation and ergonomics.
