Department of Geography Education
Introduction
Students first study courses in basic principles, prior to moving on to classes in more complex applications. They are trained to cultivate abilities in analysis, critical thinking, logic, and speech. In addition, students will take part in formal academic field trips on a yearly basis. These field trips research and cover all the regions throughout the country, including the Silk Road. The materials and photos taken during these trips are intended to be uploaded to the Web and used as learning materials.
Educational Objective
Through the study on the natural environment, land use and resources development, students are able to cultivate an analytical ability and understanding in a range of geographical phenomena. The geography-related researches available for the community should assist students in dealing with and understanding the correlations among the various developements. Through a range of field trips, students learn how to investigate various issues and conduct research related to geography education. Students, as future geography education teachers in secondary schools, learn how to apply their knowledge and professional theory into practice at schools.
