Introduction
Clinical pathology is a convergence science that deals with theories and techniques for testing blood, urine, tissues, and bodily fluids from patients using methods such as the following; physical, chemical, physiology, and microbiological - to obtain information needed to diagnose and treat diseases in the human body.
The department of clinical pathology aims to train students to have expertise and be well prepared for the practical work within field. The department of clinical pathology also aims to cultivate medical convergence talent with research ability and creativity in the field of biomedical science.
To research these goals, we will conduct thorough theoretical education, experimental practice, and field practice in conjunction with the International St. Mary's Hospital, a hospital affiliated with the foundation. This cultivates a global mind and language skills to foster a recognized talent at home and abroad.
Educational Objective
The department of clinical pathology aims to cultivate specialists who will play a major role in related industries such as preventative medicine, health care promotion, and biotechnology (BT) through customized education of individual students. This curriculum will help them acquire new methods of examination and the ability to make an accurate diagnosis of various diseases based on understanding human life phenomena and the development of medical life sciences. In particular, we intend to train professional clinical pathologists who are required to determine the diagnosis, treatment progress, and prognosis of human diseases at medical service sites.
