Hotel Culinary & Food Service Management major
Introduction
The department trains students who will work in the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese food industries as well as professionals in the culinary arts, bakeries, and the food consulting and food franchise industries. They will also work as traditional food manufacturers dealing with alcohol, soy sauce, bean paste, fermented food, rice cake, and traditional Korean cookies. The department offers teacher training programs and the students can choose to work as culinary arts teachers in public schools.
Educational Objective
The department aims to train the students who will work as professionals in culinary arts at hotels and food service companies, the students who will work as professional bakers, the students who will manage or own Korean, Western, Chinese or Japanese restaurants and students who are able to re-create the 21st century's food culture as food stylists and consultants.
